Country: Australia Mona Vale is best known as a Northern Beaches suburb of Sydney, 28 kilometres north of the city centre. Once the administrative centre of Pittwater Council, it now falls within Northern Beaches Council, on land traditionally cared for by the Garigal people. Locals often shorten its name to “Mona.”
