Jerez is best known as a city also called Xeres, with its identity closely tied to the Campiña de Jerez. In Andalusia’s Cádiz province, southwestern Iberia, it occupies an inland plain crossed by the Guadalete River, midway between the Atlantic Ocean, the Guadalquivir River and the western reaches of the Subbaetic System.
