Golden Bay is best known for its shore, a stretch of the Swan Coastal Plain along the Indian Ocean. This outer southern Perth suburb forms part of the City of Rockingham, between Secret Harbour and Singleton, just off Mandurah Road. Originally called Peelhurst, it took the name Golden Bay officially in 1985.
