Country: Australia The Gascoyne River meets the Indian Ocean at Carnarvon, a coastal town in Western Australia. About 900 kilometres north of Perth, it places you near the Shark Bay World Heritage area to the south, while Ningaloo Reef and Exmouth are found to the north. The Mungullah Aboriginal Community, formerly within the town, has since moved east.
